As Diageo’s National Educator for Latin Spirits, Jorge excels in his passion for sharing the knowledge of spirits through conversations that generate excitement and appreciation for the brands he represents. A 16-year industry veteran, he started his career as a food and beverage manager and went on to work with distributors and national marketing agencies. Jorge soon proved to be a sought-after and savvy spirits marketer and a well-respected force in the industry. He’s worked with some of the world’s best known Master Distillers and National Ambassadors; executed special events at leading festivals like SXSW and the Sundance Film Festival; and has led trade, media, and consumer education programs through a series of seminars, tastings, and mentorships. Jorge’s list of professional development certifications spans the world of spirits and the science of solid relationships and sales. Of both Greek and Mexican heritage, he’s a unique blend of cordial hospitality with an inherent talent for bringing people – and brands – together.
